“After graduating I’ve been looking for a visual language that corresponds with my drawings and the experience I have as a graphic designer. There were a lot of restrictions and conceptual visual choices from art school I had to get rid of to allow myself to start enjoying the simplicity of doodling and quick pictographic drawings again. After trying to be a specific kind of artist I finally learned to embrace my own preferences and I’ve been creating a steady flow of slightly autonomous illustrative work ever since. Especially my choice to stop working primarily on a computer and start embracing printing techniques such as lino- and screenprinting have worked out really well, giving my work a certain unpredictability in its presentation and rewarding me with a lot of slight errors and accidents along the way, all of which I find fascinating.

The elements in my work are usually self-portraits in many different forms, reactions to or images of psychiatric states, short words and sentences and sexuality – which has always fascinated me in the broadest way possible.”
